Being based at Sywell Aerodrome is a real privilege and offers outstanding facilities to learn to fly, including three grass and one concrete runway. As a multiple award winning aerodrome Sywell offers an onsite hotel, restaurant, cafe & museum.
Sywell operates with a very professional & safe ethic, and includes full time Fire Staff and First-Aiders during its operating hours. Training within the environment which Sywell offers gives our students a good grounding in general, aerodrome & radio procedures.
The public areas and cafe at Sywell Aerodrome make for a great day out, and anyone visiting us for a flight is more than welcome to bring friends and family with them. The general public must remain behind the airfield fences and not go airside, unless escorted by one of our instructors or staff.
Sywell Aerodrome has good pushchair and wheelchair access and facilities, should any of your party require them.
Note: The cafe and museum can have seasonal opening times.
